Where Scholarship
Meets Discretion

For over a century, Wotherby's has been trusted by collectors, institutions, and private clients to handle works of the highest consequence with the utmost care.

Excellence without exception

Founded in 1887 by Edmund Wotherby and his partner Sir Francis Carrow, Wotherby's has grown from a single Bond Street saleroom to one of the foremost auction houses in the world. We conduct sales across London, New York, Geneva, Hong Kong, and Paris, with specialist expertise spanning Old Masters to contemporary photography.

Our approach is grounded in scholarship. Every work that passes through Wotherby's is subject to rigorous provenance research, independent authentication, and expert appraisal by specialists with decades of experience in their fields. Our clients trust us precisely because we do not compromise on due diligence or discretion.
